Hello World and new goals!
Tiny Dust is officially in business
This is the very first blog on Tiny Dust! Woohoo!!
Although I’ve been working in tech for over a decade, it was still confusing to set this up and customize it the way I wanted. For now, I’ve kept everything clean and simple. In the future, I will add more features and fun interactions.
The last time I blogged freely was back in university. After that, writing was mostly reserved for papers, decks, reports and personal branding (like for coaching). So I’m a bit unsure what to expect now that I can write just about anything that’s on my mind. Sometimes more freedom can be more intimidating. This could be wild.
The most exciting thing in my life right now is probably this - after nine months into the gap year, I think I’ve finally found a direction I’m excited about.
I’ve been weight-training consistently and following a training program for a full year (yay me!). I’m very proud of the progress I’ve made. At the same time, the more I look into this field, the more information jumps out at me. Every other day there seems to be a new trend. Without any medicine or anatomy knowledge, it’s geniunely difficult and confusing to choose what info to listen to. It’s even worse when it comes to women’s health. I’m sure lots of other people share the same frustration.
That’s why I’ve started taking the Health and Medicine course on Khan Academy. Although the course is no longer maintained, it still being recommended as an excellent foundational course on anatomy. So far I’ve covered the intros of most of the human body systems, and am deepdiving on the Circulatory System. In July, I plan to start a persoanl training course and eventually get certified as a NASM coach.
Lots to do in the next 6 months, and I have a feeling that everything is going to be fantastic.
